The Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies has expressed heartfelt condolences to retired Major General Moundhey Ali following the death of his wife, Japari Ali (née Ubandoma).
In a statement issued by the group’s Convener, Mary Abayomi-Fatile, the organisation also extended its sympathies to the couple’s children, the Ali and Ubandoma families, friends, associates and all others affected by the loss.
“The death of a spouse is an immeasurable loss. We recognise the invaluable role Mrs. Japari Ali played as a supportive partner throughout her husband’s years of service to the nation.
“Like many military spouses, she shared in the sacrifices and challenges that accompany a life dedicated to the service of one’s country.
“As an organisation committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces, other security agencies, veterans and their families, we stand in solidarity with Major General Ali and his family at this difficult time. We hope they find strength, comfort and courage in the cherished memories of a life devoted to family, service and humanity.
“The thoughts and prayers of our members are with the entire family as they mourn this irreplaceable loss,” the statement said.
